Choosing the right waterproof gear
What makes a jacket waterproof is the integration of what we call a waterproof membrane, which is a thin layer of lining comprising tiny holes that prevent water from penetrating through. What makes a waterproof jacket even better is when the membrane, such as Gore-Tex® and Dainese's D-dry membranes, allow the passage of hot and humid air generated by the body out, keeping you dry both on the outside and inside.
